Szkoła Podstawowa nr 3 zDNJB im. Jarosława Kostycewicza is situated in the north-east of Poland, in a small town called Bielsk Podlaski. There are about 670 Ss and 84 teachers. Our school consists of 24 classrooms: 2 ICT labs, a library with a reading room, the biggest gym in the town, a dining hall and a Ts' room. The library contains over 29,000 volumes and 4PCs, a printer, a plasma TV connected to a DVD player which provide students with the opportunity to study. The Ts from the library organise meetings with interesting people (writers, actors, etc.) Our pupils can learn English, Russian and Belarussian.

There are a lot of extra classes: the Volunteers Club, School self–government run by Ss,the Sports Club –Ss can play volleyball, basketball and other sports and the Music Club. The school's building is adapted to accept Ss with disabilities - there are ramps in front of the two entrances, the thresholds have been removed, an elevator for wheelchair users has been installed, and the toilets have been adapted. In our school there is qualified staff in accountancy, psychology and speech therapy, as well as a licensed nurse. All teachers have experience working with children from disadvantaged backgrounds, experience and training through courses taken with the theme of tolerance and character education.
